Intraoral camera resolution hasn’t changed since the early 1990’s. Dentists have been using low-resolution (640 × 480 pixels) intraoral cameras for decades because standard definition models were the only cameras available. These cameras have 0.3 megapixels.
However, today’s PC’s desktop resolution is now much higher such as 1920 × 1080 pixels (or higher) and the resolution of a standard definition intraoral camera now fills less than 25% of the PC’s screen. Imaging softwares therefore stretch the 0.3 megapixel image to fill the entire screen which reduces the visual image quality thus producing pixelized images.
We are a true 1920 × 1080 Full HDTV resolution camera, whereas almost all other “HD” intraoral cameras are 1280 × 720P cameras. In addition, most low cost intraoral cameras output very low resolution 640 × 480 images. We are confident that the REALCLOUD HD1 has the best combination of performance, camera capabilities, compatibility, reliability, safety, and price compared to all other intraoral cameras.
Quite simply, we know of no other intraoral camera that can match a REALCLOUD HD1 camera’s picture quality nor its ability to capture images from super macro close-ups to full face dental anatomy, and we offer our product at a reasonable price point especially when considering it is the best intraoral camera instrument available at any price.
