MacPractice Introduces MacPractice Endo for Endodontists

Lincoln, NE, April 27, 2009 - MacPractice, Inc., the leading developer of practice management and clinical applications for Mac, will introduce MacPractice Endo, a specialized version for Endodontists of its flagship product MacPractice DDS, at the American Academy of Endodontists' Annual Session in Orlando, FL this week.

MacPractice Endo includes specialized, customizable, clinical data-entry forms for use in MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Record). Forms that are suitable for being sent to referring dentists are included with placeholders for digital x-ray images. A narrative report may be automatically generated from the completed EDR form, and the narrative may also be merged into a letter template addressed to the referring dentist in MacPractice Note.

MacPractice Endo integrates with MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography/Photo) to capture digital x-rays and photos and quickly and easily incorporate them into Endo Notes templates and clinical forms in the Electronic Dental Record. MacPractice offers native Mac digital radiography interfaces for SuniRay sensors and Planmeca digital sensor, panorama and cephalometric equipment. MacPractice also supports bridges to virtually every PC digital radiography solution, which may be operated on a Mac in Windows in a Virtual Machine.

Endodontists who are heavily invested in PC digital solutions and want to incorporate MacPractice Endo into their office with less cost, can use Aqua Connect Terminal (ACT) on their current PCs in exam rooms. ACT makes it possible to use MacPractice on the PC, and continue to use PC devices requiring proprietary PC drivers. The ACT implementation requires a Mac OS X Server on a Mac Pro (non-dedicated) or Xserve.

MacPractice Endo features enhanced referral reporting required by all dental specialists.

"MacPractice Endo is the first of several dental specialty products we will introduce over the next few months. Our mission is to offer every dentist an opportunity to experience the ease of use and dependability of MacPractice software on Apple computers in their office," stated Mark Hollis, MacPractice's President.

Endodontists and all other dentists are encouraged to view QuickTime movies of MacPractice software by registering at MacPractice.com. 2400 doctors' offices have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management and clinical software.
