MacPractice, Inc. and Spring Medical Systems, Inc. plan to integrate MacPractice MD practice management software for physicians with SpringCharts EMR? charting software for doctors and clinics to create the first complete healthcare software solution designed especially for Mac OS X, available this summer.
The addition of scheduling, electronic insurance submission, image storage, and integrated word processing by MacPractice at the end of June will make MacPractice 1.5 the first comprehensive practice management application designed especially for Mac OS X. SpringCharts EMR is a comprehensive, easy to use, affordable, electronic medical records option for MacPractice MD users.
MacPractice Scheduling will interface with iCal, providing doctors the ability to take their schedule of appointments on an iPod, phone, Palm, or PowerBook, or place it on the Internet or .mac. MacPractice EClaims provides online eligibility verification, claim tracking, electronic referrals, and claims transmission via Internet or modem.
Introductory pricing for MacPractice MD is available until August 31, 2005 starting at $2000 for a single user. Networked versions cost an additional $500 per 5 users. Scheduling and EClaims are available options for $500 each. There is an additional Independence Day discount of 25% until July 15, 2005.
MacPractice software requires MySQL, available from MacPractice for its clients for $250 per office, and a MacPractice software support and enhancements agreement.
