MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Records) Released

Lincoln, NE December 19, 2007 - MacPractice, Inc., the leading developer of practice management software and clinical applications designed especially for Mac OS X, announced the release of the MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Records).

MacPractice EDR for dentists is easy to use, affordable, time-saving, and customizable!

MacPractice, Inc. has created more efficient electronic versions the dental history, chart notes and other forms dentists keep in a patient?s chart for use with MacPractice EDR. MacPractice EDR is designed to make it easy for dentists who use MacPractice DDS with MacPractice EDR to customize the forms provided by MacPractice and create new ones.

Dentists can create and interact with clinical data including health history and clinical notes with graphic annotations on teeth as they are accustomed to doing in paper. To take tooth charting in MacPractice DDS to the next level, MacPractice plans to make EDR interactive with the ledger in MacPractice DDS.

Narratives may be auto-generated with form data. Patient data entered elsewhere in MacPractice can be displayed on forms using "Pull Fields." Creating EDR forms automatically creates new tables in the MacPractice MySQL database.

MacPractice DDS practice management software features Notes (integrated word processing), Attachments, powerful scheduling, treatment plans, billing and other components which are becoming even more tightly integrated within MacPractice EDR as the interface rapidly evolves.

The Introductory Price through December 31, 2007 for MacPractice EDR for dentists is $1500 plus $300 annually for support and updates.

"Many dentists are interested in Mac software and have asked for EDR specialized for them. We look forward to continuously developing and enhancing MacPractice EDR for dentists," said Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice.

Dentists are encouraged to register at MacPractice.com to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice DDS and MacPractice EDR.
