MacPractice Integrates PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (MacWorld Booths # 1927 and #107) and OTTAWA, ON, Jan. 9, 2006 - Parliant Corp. and MacPractice Inc. have announced the first Mac OS X broadcast dialing solution integrated with practice management software for doctors' offices. Parliant's new PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) will integrate seamlessly with the communications capabilities of MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DDS for dentists and MacPractice DC for chiropractors.
"This is the first time ever that a full-featured automated group dialer has been available for Mac-based medical practices, and we are very excited to work with Parliant to offer a solution to our more than 1000 clients that is integrated with our premier Mac OS X practice management applications," said Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice.

PhoneHerald works with MacPractice MD, DDS, and DC to automate the tedious process of reminding patients of their appointments, accepting their confirmations automatically, or allowing them to speak with a receptionist. Physicians may also wish to use PhoneHerald to notify patients as to other events, such as the arrival of lab results in the office.

Built on the architecture of Parliant's multi-award-winning PhoneValet Message Center, PhoneHerald offers the productivity edge and convenience of automatic dialing, personalized message delivery and response collection for medical practices of any size.
"PhoneHerald delivers an efficient, cost-effective way for medical, dental, and chiropractic offices to make appointments and deliver reminders to patients," said Parliant President Kevin Ford. "This frees up medical practice office staff for more productive tasks."

The bridge from MacPractice MD, DDS and DC to PhoneHerald will be available in the first quarter of 2006. Special MacPractice-PhoneHerald integration, licensing and pricing will be announced at that time. Regional representatives are demonstrating MacPractice products in the Business and Enterprise Special Interest Area of MacWorld Expo, Booth #107.

MacPractice/PhoneHerald features include:

  • Broadcast dialing to groups of patients from a PhoneHerald-enabled Mac
  • Delivery of not just automated, but personalized medical messages
  • Live transfer-to-receptionist capability from a PhoneHerald call interaction
  • World-class text-to-speech engine with male and female voices
  • Message response collection with powerful search capabilities
  • To-do list that tracks dialed patient calls requiring follow-up
  • Ability to call different groups of patients simultaneously via single or multiple lines
  • Breakthrough pricing versus existing broadcast dialing solutions
