Connected computers can use the same or mixed Operating Systems. Regular macOS updates should be performed as released by Apple. Check hardware compatibility for Monterey and Big Sur.

• macOS Monterey (12) *OS 12.6.6 eliminates code that may lead to problems with specific MacPractice Builds. If you're currently using or considering an update to macOS 12.6.6, it's essential to ensure you're on MacPractice Build 15.13.1 or higher.
• macOS Big Sur (11) *OS 11.7.7 eliminates code that may lead to problems with specific MacPractice Builds. If you're currently using or considering an update to macOS 11.7 it is essential that you DO NOT update past 11.7.6.

Check device compatibility for iOS 14.

• iOS 14 or higher

• MacPractice recommends daily backups to ensure you can recover from a hardware failure with minimal loss.
• Backup size varies depending on usage, especially when storing high-quality images in the database.
• You should consider not only your current database storage needs, but also your potential future data growth when purchasing all storage media, including internal and external storage media.
• An external hard drive is recommended for hard drive storage, as well as multiple redundancies such as cloud storage.
